Interpretation of air purification
...using exemplary classrooms of 60m² and 70m² each
✓ The recommendation of the Robert Koch Institute for effective prevention of infection caused by virus-contaminated air indoors recommends a four to six times air change per hour.
✓Current guidelines for funding from the federal and state governments and the VDI stipulate at least a fourfold air exchange rate.
✓ youvee® follows the principle of at least five air changes per hour. The design is shown in the following table as an example for a 60m² and a 70m² classroom.
✓ The sound development remains well below 40dB(A) sound pressure, which is the maximum value specified for meeting the funding requirements. Further reductions of the sound development are possible by lowering the continuously adjustable air volume flow.

Effective airflow
According to epidemiologists such as Markus Scholz from the University of Leipzig, virus air purifiers are a sensible measure for a low risk of infection during classroom teaching. In view of the consistent implementation of hygiene measures against droplet infection, infections are currently mainly due to virus-laden air indoors. Window ventilation alone is not the solution. This is because there is hardly any air exchange when the indoor and outdoor air temperatures are approximately the same, even when the windows are open. And at low outdoor temperatures, the required air exchange rates cause cold classrooms.
That is why we at youvee® have made it our mission to rethink innovative approaches to solutions, following the latest scientific findings.
✓ youvee® supports the natural air circulation indoors. Close to the ceiling, where warm virus-laden breathing air collects, youvee® draws in the air, frees it from viruses and distributes it over a large area on the floor. This prevents dangerous cross-flow and concentration of virus-laden air in the facial area.
✓ Two youvees® per classroom ensure the six-fold air exchange recommended by the RKI. By inactivating more than 99.99% of aerosol-bound coronaviruses, youvee® ensures virus-free indoor air at comfortable temperatures.
✓ youvee® disinfects the air by means of UV-C radiation, which directly eliminates viruses, bacteria and fungi instead of only retaining them as in filter devices. youvee® is therefore maintenance-free, there is no need for the costly and time-consuming as well as health-endangering replacement of the filter mats.
